Leadership Coaching for Newly Appointed Practice Leader
A highly competent technical consultant was promoted to Practice Leader in this global professional services firm. In this role, he was required to manage the activities of more than 50 consultants and interface with other senior managers across the organization. Although he had good management instincts, he never received formal leadership and management development.
MMi provided one-on-one leadership coaching for the consultant. We initiated the relationship with a customized, 360-degree survey that reflected the critical competencies for a successful Practice Leader. Based on the analysis of 360-degree feedback from over 20 raters, specific strengths and development needs were isolated. These formed the basis of the development action plan and coaching agenda.
